17 Weeks

Hey there Baby C,

Your growth this week now puts you the size of a turnip or my open hand, about 5 inches long and 5 ounces heavy.  Although, at times you feel much heavier than that (i.e. when I'm playing soccer).  You are starting your process of fattening up so that you can stay nice and warm once I get you out of me!  You are also now fully capable of hearing, which means...you can hear all the ridiculous stuff your dad says to you!!  Your sweat glands are developing so that you can turn into a walking waterfall when its hot or when you workout, just like your mom...lucky you!

On to the weekly recap:

Saturday was absolutely gorgeous here, which allowed for a lot of errand running, yard work, cleaning, and grilling out.  It was such a wonderful and productive day and concluded with delicious steaks from a local butcher shop.  Sunday was Easter and we spent it with a bunch of women from Angie's husband's unit, it was nice to meet new people and for your dad to see the other side of deployment.  Everyone brought food, but Angie did most of the main meal and her cooking was, as usual, spectacular!  Monday was uneventful, but Tuesday we had another appointment and I got to hear your heartbeat again!  It sounded great and was pumping away at 156 bpm.  Unfortunately your dad had to miss this one due to some unexpected events that came up.  Neither of us were too happy, especially since he showed up right as I was walking out of the office...and Madigan, for once, was running ahead of schedule.  This will probably never happen to anyone, ever again, in the history of the world.  Yay for flukes...NOT.  Wednesday, my brand new LG dryer was delivered and our clothes will no longer smell of someone's cigarette smoke!  Its even got an anti-static thingy in it so that we don't have to use those dryer sheets that I am allergic to! Yay for nice smelling, non-itchy dryers!  That's really it for the exciting events of this week.

Workouts:  Training with Sybil on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Cravings:  Fruit

Symptoms:  Food aversion to meat...STILL!  And the "special" pain that running brings on.

**This is the second to last post before I go private with the blog.  Don't forget to send me your e-mail address to continue reading if you haven't already done so!**

Love,

Your Mama
