Ever since we got the boat we have been looking at getting a bigger vehicle that was a little more capable of pulling it. The Escape can do it, but it struggles and it now has almost 200,000 miles on it...so it was time. We started our hunt about 2 years ago, we looked at several different SUVs and trucks before ultimately deciding on a Tahoe. We looked at new and used cars and the price difference between a used one with under 50k miles on it was not much different than a brand new one, so we just decided to get a brand new one with exactly what we want. Since out boat will be back out in Oklahoma in about 2 weeks (courtesy of Nay Nay and Papa Bill) we decided that it was time to bite the bullet and drop the cash. There were other factors that played in our timing, but I won't bore you with the details. This purchase has been a long time coming. A week ago we brought home our newest "baby". We found exactly what we wanted (and more) for the right price and snatched it right up. Our Tahoe is a 2013 LT Z71. Its a dark blue with a gray interior. Its got the heavy duty trailer package, the luxury package, the destination and sun package, and just all around perfection. Basically, what it includes is the ability to haul a pretty heavy trailer, a back-up camera, heated leather seats, captains chairs in the back, removable third row seating, 4WD, rear entertainment system (you can watch the movie in the front when the car is in park!), ability to add more monitors, bose sound system, sun roof, sirius XM radio, onstar, touch screen navigation, live traffic updates, power lift gate, remote start, and a whole lot of awesome! It was the demo vehicle so it had about 2000 miles on it when we bought it, but it also was driven down from Tulsa and had made the trip from Tulsa to OKC and back to Tulsa the day before. We couldn't be happier and Mikey LOVES it too!
